Discipline Policy

Creating a Respectful & Safe Space for Everyone

At our program, we aim to foster a fun, welcoming, and respectful environment for all participants. To maintain a positive and productive atmosphere, we expect everyone to follow these basic guidelines. Inappropriate behavior will be addressed promptly and respectfully.

Expectations:

  1. Respect All Participants and Staff

    • Use kind words and actions.

    • No bullying, teasing, or name-calling will be tolerated.

  2. Listen and Follow Directions

    • Listen attentively when someone is speaking.

    • Follow directions the first time they are given.

  3. Keep the Space Clean

    • Throw away all trash in the proper bins.

    • Leave bathrooms clean and tidy after use.

    • Do not leave food or wrappers on tables or floors.

  4. Be Safe and Responsible

    • Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

    • Walk indoors and use materials appropriately.

    • Report any accidents, spills, or damage to a staff member right away.

Consequences for Misbehavior:

Our approach is to guide, redirect, and teach. However, if inappropriate behavior continues, the following steps will be taken:

  1. First Offense – Verbal warning and redirection.

  2. Second Offense – Removal from activity for a short break; reflection with staff.

  3. Third Offense – Parent/guardian will be notified.

  4. Repeated or Severe Misbehavior – May result in removal from the program temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity.

Zero Tolerance:

The following behaviors will result in immediate parent contact and possible removal from the program:

  • Bullying (physical, verbal, or social)

  • Purposefully damaging property

  • Disrespectful or aggressive behavior toward staff or peers

  • Leaving the group or designated area without permission
